Supplying The World With Hotness From The Standpoint Of A Model & Make-up Artist.
I’m having a love affair with J Brand Jeans. They have a really great fit and so many different styles to fit everyone. My latest pair from them, is the Acid Wash Pencil-Leg in Thrasher. They seem to be really popular with the celebs recently…but who can blame them. They’re hot!
They go for $218, but I found them at Saks for $129 on sale
Kett Make-Up is mainly used by proffessionals, but you can buy their products online. Their foundations are the best! Fragrance free, alcohol free, and lets your skin breathe while staying on! Light in weight, strong in personality. Worth the splurge, I promise.
Fine and thin hair, usually goes flat in minutes unless you’re using tons of products. Replace all those products with just one. Redken Thickening Lotion 06 Body Builder. As I mentioned in my previous post, thickening lotion was used prior to blow drying, and they used this product. It’s the #1 backstage must-have and now you can buy it too. Apply on towel-dried hair and then blow dry for maximum volume.
Available at Amazon for $15
Heard this amazing song from the Versace Spring 2010 runway show, and have been in love ever since. Perfect for the clubs…and for your shower.
Sex and the City 2 hasn’t even come out yet, but the wardrobe looks amazing already! My favorite is the sunglasses though, and I’ve found out who they are by….Mykita & Bernhard Willhelm FRANZ. They are limited edition and run for $525 on Patriciafield.com
Sequins have been everywhere as Fall came a knockin’. Practically every designer had them up and down their runway collections. Sequin leggings are a cute must-have for fall, especially when paired with a simple tank and pumps/booties. Who doesn’t want a little extra glitter in their life? Love me some sequins!
As the decade draws to a close, it seems fair to wonder: What was the fashion? What was memorable? What will embarass us when we look back at photos? What was significant, in that it changed the way we shop or dress? Another magazine’s forthcoming issue takes a stab at the question of what’s mattered, fashion-wise, since the turn of the millennium, pulling pieces from the archives and pairing 28 celebs with key designers. Sneak peek behind the scenes at the shoots—Chloë Sevigny in Miu Miu, Courtney Love turned out in Givenchy Haute Couture, both Olsen twins taking on Calvin Klein Collection, and more. What do you think we’ll remember about the ’00s? What would you prefer to forget?
Today’s hottest trend is Swarovski-covered bottles. Hollywood writer/producer Kevin G. Boyd’s Bling H2O is an award winning natural spring water, but it’s the frosted glass bottles with 10,000 hand applied crystals that make this drink a status symbol. At $2,500, it sure beats drinking out of a plastic bottle. Check out their site blingh2o.com
For Shu Uemura’s fall 2009 collection, dark colors weren’t opted for. Instead, bright and colorful bursts were used and they look amazing. The name of their collection is Primitribe and the inspiration for it came from exotic motifs of tribal Africa’s decorative traditions. Explosions of flamboyant colors go in hand with deep earthly tones to communicate extravagant allure of African beauty.
Inspired by the rule of the English Tudors, the products aim to reflect the “salacious scandal, regal indulgence and lavish extravagance” the noble class enjoyed during this era. The line is described as luxe, sexy and indulgently sensorial.
Comic Con was yesterday, in San Diego, California and Megan Fox was one of the many celebs there promoting. She was there for Jennifer’s Body and sporting a dark look. I’m not sure if I’m a fan of the dark lips on her, but regardless she still looks stunning!
Last year, Italian Vogue shook the fashion world with its All Black Issue, which sold out on many newsstands. This year, the July issue features the Black Barbie editorial which celebrates black beauty and Barbie’s 50th birthday this month.
Lately, Nine West has had some fresh, funky and reasonably priced shoes and their Fall 09 line seems to follow through with that motto. They have stepped it up for fall (pun intended) supplying us with cutout booties, platform sandals, and leather boots dyed in rich jewel hues and classic Autumn colors. Here’s a peek:
